Rates
Our rates include all fees and taxes.  Rates depend on whether your visit is during low or high season and how many days in advance of arrival that you book.  See links to the left for a rate calculator. A one time reservation/cleaning fee of $40-$50 is applied to all reservations.  Discounts  are available to military, veterans, police officers, some seniors, and those who are disabled.  We want everyone to be able to afford a vacation.  Low Price Guarantee:  (for limited bookings and low season rates only)  If you are able to find a comparable unit for less, right up to your day of arrival, we will beat that price by 5%.  For all other rates, we will strive to beat any other price you find for a comparable unit.   The VI check-in office is scheduled to undergo a complete renovation. The project has been deferred due to permit delays.  We now anticipate it will take place between May and June 2017. During this project, the check-in office will be relocated to Unit 61, nearby the original check-in office.  Signs will be posted for ease of locating.  The hours and procedures will remain unchanged:  We expect some noise and large machineries in the vicinity of the construction.

 

Concrete Walkways Repaired Oct-Dec 2015

The Association of Apartment Owners at Sea Mountain has planned a concrete walkway repair project in Oct-Dec 2015. The work will be done in phases of 3 days per sections. Affected units will remain vacant for safety reasons.

 

Emergency Sea Wall Extension completed 10/2/15 

Effective since November 20, 2014, the Home Owners Association for Colony One at Sea Mountain started a sea wall extension project adjacent to many of our ocean view units. This project operates between the hours of 8:00am to dusk daily. The length of this project has not been determined yet, but is estimated it will be completed mid to late October 2015. There is noise from the large machineries and construction traffic.

Golf Course 10/14/15 Update

The Golf Course located at Colony I at Sea Mountain is owned and managed by Roberts of Hawaii, and not by Vacation Internationale. For any inquiries please call: (808) 928-6222.

It is a 9 hole course until further notice.

Accommodations/Lodging Tax:  As required by state and local regulations, this nightly tax rate is based on condominium size  and season.

Air Conditioning:  Units do not have air conditioning, but are equipped with ceiling fans.

Access:  The buildings  do not have elevators.  If a ground unit is required, please reserve an EZ access unit.

Transportation:  A car is a necessity.  It is very easy to get lost on your way to the resort if traveling at night.  Street signs are small and area is not well lit.  Public transportation is not readily available.  You should do your major grocery shopping in either Kona (65 miles) or Hilo (56 miles).  Local grocery shopping is limited. 

Internet WIFI access:
Sea Mountain offers WIFI in each condominium unit.  However, please be aware that because of the location of the resort, which is in a remote area and away from any large population center, the reception is sporadic. 

Lost and Found Policy:  Vacation Internationale is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items.  Each resort keeps detailed records of all 'found' items, and will ship them back at the owner's expense, based upon local mail/shipping restrictions.  Any items in the Lost & Found, which are not claimed within 90 days, will be donated to a local charity or discarded.

 

Just renovated  10/30/11

2011/2012 Renovations.  Complete the ongoing renovation project on the remaining units. The project includes wallpaper removal, paint, new carpet, window coverings, new mattresses and sheeting, new lighting and furniture. Also, replacing electrical panels for all units.

Sea Mountain, located on the southeastern side of the Big Island in Pahala, HI, completed renovations in late 2012 with new tile flooring, granite counter tops and new cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom, wood window blinds, plus new furniture and bedding.
